From Fisherman’s Port to Panoramic Views
Get charmed by Split as we explore Varoš, one of the city’s most picturesque neighborhoods, known for its narrow, winding streets and stone houses. Starting at Matejuška, the historic fishing port, we’ll uncover stories of local life, including why the women of Varoš were considered the best laundresses and what a Tiramol is.
From there, we’ll ascend Marjan Hill, the city’s beloved green lungs, offering stunning panoramic views of Split, the Adriatic, and nearby islands. Along the way we will explore the cultural and historic significance of this tranquil escape.
For those eager to delve deeper and go further, we can extend our journey to the newly renovated Botanical Gardens, immersing ourselves in the native and imported plants that have shaped local traditions. The tour can be tailored to your pace and interests, with the option to visit the newly opened panoramic viewpoint for even more breathtaking scenery.
Join me on a tour that blends history, nature, and breathtaking scenery, offering a perfect way to experience Split beyond the usual tourist paths.
Important to know
Marjan is a hilly park forest, so comfortable shoes, sun protection, and water are recommended.
The extended tour is tailored to your interests and abilities, covering approximately 10 km of mostly flat terrain with some stair climbing. The route can be adjusted and shortened to suit your needs
